What is stored (on your device only)

Your selected logo — an image you upload or a built-in preset — and related settings are saved with the browser’s local storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is not synced to any server or across devices.

What is sent (anonymous diagnostics and usage counts only)

When an error occurs, the extension may send a small anonymous report containing:

• an error code (for example LOGO_NOT_FOUND);
• the extension version and the major browser version;
• a coarse platform tag (mac, win, or linux);
• a short, non-identifying technical detail.

To count installs and usage in aggregate, the extension also sends small anonymous events — installed, first use, a once-a-day ping while you keep using it, and uninstalled — tagged with a random per-install identifier. That identifier is a random value generated on your device. It is not derived from you, your account, your hardware or any other extension, it is never linked to your identity, and on our server it is stored only as a salted hash.

Nothing sent ever includes your images, your search queries, the pages you visit, URLs, cookies, your name, email, or any other personal data. Raw IP addresses are not stored on our server.

What we do not do

• No selling or transferring of user data to third parties.
• No advertising or ad tracking.
• No analytics profiles and no cross-site tracking. The per-install identifier counts unique installs in aggregate only; it is never used to build a profile of you or to follow you between sites.
• No account or sign-up required.

Permissions

• storage — to remember your chosen logo and settings between sessions (stored locally on your device).
• Access to Google Search domains — a content script runs on *://*.google.<tld>/* for the ~188 country domains Google Search runs on (google.com, google.co.uk, google.de and so on), so the extension can find the Google logo and replace it wherever you search from. Google products that have no search logo — Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar, Photos, Accounts and similar — are explicitly excluded, and the extension runs on no other website. It does not read, collect, or transmit the page’s content, your search queries, or the URLs you visit — it only locates and swaps the logo element.
